Aug. 27—PIERRE — A strong overall team performance helped the Mitchell High School boys golf team post its first top-five finish of the season on Tuesday. Boosted by Asher Dannenbring's round of 1-under 71, the Kernels secured fifth place at the Pierre Invitational at Hillsview Golf Course with a team score of 306.
