Vote for the Daily News Athlete of the Week (April 11-17) from 21 worthy selections

AMSA girls tennis players Katina Gakis and Sameera Patnala were voted the Daily News Athlete of the Week for action between April 4 and 10. The Eagles No. 1 doubles pair weathered a 7-6 (5), 6-3 win over Whitinsville Christian to secure a 3-2 victory for the team.

They received 50.92 percent of the more than 2,700 votes cast. Natick boys volleyball setter Luke Dratch was second (34.17 percent).

Diya Bhattacharya, Westborough girls tennis

She improved to 7-0 at No. 2 singles with wins over Bromfield on Thursday and Shrewsbury on Wednesday.

Ella Chandaria, Franklin girls track and field

She won the 100-meter hurdles, shot put and discus before the meet against Milford was suspended due to inclement weather Tuesday.

May Chen, Hopkinton girls tennis

She rallied to pick up a three-set win 6-7, 6-3, 10-8, as the Hillers bested Wachusett on Friday.

Stella Damoulakis, AMSA girls tennis

She went 2-0 at No. 3 singles to help the Eagles sweep Hopedale in a doubleheader Thursday. Damoulakis beat Gabriella Rinehart 8-6 in Game 1 and 9-8 (10-3) in Game 2.

Rachel Dubrovsky, Westborough girls tennis

She gutted out a 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 win over Bromfield’s Luise Tatarev to secure a 3-2 win and keep the Rangers undefeated Thursday.

Megan Fanelli, Marlborough girls tennis

She weathered a three-set win 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 2 singles to clinch a 3-2 win over Leominster on Wednesday.

Mia Griebel, Dover-Sherborn girls tennis

She preserved the sweep for the Blue Raiders against Westwood on Wednesday with a 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 win at No. 2 singles.

The Rangers No. 1 doubles team paced a sweep over Marlborough on Friday, beating Keshav Kumar and Ethan Kwan 6-0, 6-0.

Josie Hopkins, Hopkinton girls track & field

She won the 400-meter hurdles and 100 hurdles and took second in the long jump in a win over Holliston on Tuesday.

Nate Howard, Tri-County boys track & field

He set a new school record in the discus, clearing 120 feet, 10 inches in a loss to Southeastern on Tuesday. He was also second in the shot put (41-8) for the Cougars.

Gigi Linton, Hopkinton girls golf

She was the medalist in a 37-11 win over Quabbin on Wednesday with a 47.

The No. 3 singles player survived a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 win to help the Mustangs clinch a win over Millis on Monday.

He was first in the 800 and two-mile for the Panthers in a loss against Leominster on Wednesday.

She won the 100, 200 and long jump for the Panthers against Hopkinton on Monday.

Nicole Tavis, Wellesley girls tennis

She kept the sate champion Raiders rolling with a 6-0, 6-0 2in at No. 2 singles against Walpole on Wednesday.

Grace Zhang, Natick girls tennis

She ensured a 3-2 win over Milton with a 6-5, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles on Wednesday.

Andy Zheng, Marlborough boys tennis

He led the way for the Panthers with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Nashoba’s Carter Neuschafer at No. 2 singles Wednesday.
