Indoor golf simulator business to open Downtown
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) — Tee’d Up Indoor Golf is set to open soon in Downtown St. Joseph.
The golf simulator business, located at 504 Edmond St., promises fun for all skill levels.
There will be two bays with golf simulators at the location, with each holding six to seven people. The bays can be reserved in one-hour increments.
There will also be snacks and drinks, including soda and alcohol.
One of the owners, Desire Wahlgren, says the idea for the business stems from the need for activities in Downtown St. Joseph.
“I think Downtown needs a lot of things, I mean entertainment space especially,” Wahlgren said. “We’ve got some really great restaurants down here, but we don’t have a whole lot of things to do. So, first of all, we love Downtown and anything we can do to help renovate and be part of the restoration process of Downtown, we are going to be on board. We want to try to get as many people down here as we can.”
Wahlgren said the golf simulators are fun for everyone.
“They’re for the avid golfer, you know, to work on your swing and then it’s also just a really good time, you know, date night or get together with family and friends and just have a fun night out or an afternoon out,” Wahlgren said.
To set up a tee time, customers will need to visit Tee’d Up’s website or just walk in.
When Tee’d Up first opens, there will not be memberships offered. Wahlgren said she wants to eventually set up a membership system.
Wahlgren said she hopes to open the business soon, although there is not an exact date at this point.
“Within the next couple months, we plan on being open, hopefully sooner than later,” Wahlgren said. “So just keep your eyes open on social media. Just watch for us and hopefully, we’ll be open before you know it.”
